Growing a successful
business shouldn’t
cost you everything

lifestack is an operator-led consultancy for owners who’ve built something real —
and want to keep going without burning out the thing they’ve built, or themselves.

How We Help

We look at your business the way an experienced operator would — not to fix what’s broken, but to find what’s sitting untapped, and build the capacity to go after it. We don’t start with a product. We start with your situation.
The areas we work across:

Who’s It For

Small business owners are the backbone of this country. They employ our people, our friends, our families. They carry risk, make hard decisions without a leadership team around them, and build something from nothing — often without access to the kind of thinking larger organisations take for granted. That’s the gap lifestack exists to close.

The methodologies Claire and Steven spent careers developing — inside some of the most successful VC and PE-backed businesses in Europe, and for the funds themselves — are now available to the owners who need them most. Not watered down. Not genericised. Applied to your business, your situation, your next move.

Who We Are

Claire and Steven have spent the past two decades working inside some of Europe’s most ambitious businesses — and the funds that backed them. Not as advisors looking in, but as operators working through the hard problems: scaling teams, building systems, making organisations perform at pace.

That work is the foundation of everything lifestack does.

Claire Alvis

Claire specialises in the things businesses can’t see about themselves. She spent a decade in operations — at Deliveroo, Vita Mojo, and as COO of a coldchain logistics scaleup — and the thread running through all of it was the same walk into a business running at full speed, find the constraint everyone’s working around but nobody’s named, fix it in the right order. She left operations when she realised the most valuable thing she’d built wasn’t ops expertise. It was the diagnostic instinct.

Steven Bianchi

Steven sees the architecture of a business before most people know there is one. He’s held CPO, CIO and COO roles across some of Europe’s most successful businesses, and for the past eight years has run OrgLogic and Silent Partner — helping organisations redesign how they function at the level that actually changes things. Where others see a problem, Steven sees the construct that produced it: the inherited decisions, the structural dependencies, the systems that have quietly taken over.

lifestack Is Announced As..

lifestack is announced as proud title sponsor of Milton Keynes Lightning for the 26/27 season. Steve has been a season ticket holder at MK Lightning for years — the kind of supporter you’ll find at away games in Coventry on a cold Thursday, or in Block 6 on a Saturday night. Claire grew up playing field hockey. Both of them understand what sport builds in people: discipline, trust, the ability to perform under pressure and pick yourself up when things don’t go to plan.

But the sponsorship isn’t really about hockey.

MK Lightning has built something genuinely rare. Between the supporters’ club, the management, the players, the staff, and the fans, they’ve created an ecosystem where people show up because they want to be part of something. Players ask to play there. The GB coach chooses to coach there. Sponsors get involved not for the logo placement, but because the club is building something worth being part of.

That’s exactly the kind of culture Claire and Steve help build inside businesses. Small business owners are the backbone of their communities — the same communities that make places like Milton Keynes worth living in. Being part of the MK Lightning story feels less like a business decision and more like the right thing to do. We’re proud to support them.

If something on this page resonated, let’s talk

We work with a small number of owners at any one time. The first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing —
it’s just a chance to see whether what we do fits what you need.
